My People Schools

My People Ministries exists to bring hope to vulnerable children. It is founded on the belief that, when empowered, every child can achieve their dreams. This is done through FREE EDUCATION AND CHILDCARE PROGRAMS that provide quality education to needy girls and boys in Uganda. All sponsorship funds go directly to the sponsored child. Each child receives holistic care—academic, spiritual, and emotional—through regular counselling sessions. Over 982 vulnerable children are currently supported at Christ City Kayabwe, where they receive shelter, medical care, daily classes, breakfast, lunch and dinner, psychosocial counselling, and parental love. Sponsors are invited to partner in this mission of giving hope to children in need. Sponsorship is available in different categories:

1. INDIVIDUAL CHILD SPONSORSHIP.

[Sponsor a child] and receive personal communication and updates from the sponsored child.

2. PROJECT SPONSORSHIP.

Support specific projects that improve the quality of life for children and their communities.

3. FEEDING SPONSORSHIP

Children are provided with three meals a day—breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food donations and feeding sponsorships help sustain this vital support.

4. LAND SPONSORSHIP

Land is essential for long-term sustainability. With enough land, food can be produced to support the children. An acre of land typically costs around UGX 25 million.

5. BUILDING PROJECT

Be an ambassador.

Our Mission, Vision & Values at My People Schools

At My People Schools, our mission is to nurture confident, compassionate learners who are ready to shape a better world. We believe every child carries unique gifts, and our role is to help them discover, develop, and share those gifts with courage and joy. Our vision is a vibrant learning community where students feel known, valued, and inspired to reach for excellence in every area of life.

Respect is at the heart of our daily interactions. Students learn to listen deeply, speak kindly, and honor differences in background, belief, and ability. Classrooms are safe spaces where questions are welcomed, mistakes are seen as part of learning, and every voice matters. This culture of respect builds strong relationships between students, teachers, and families.

Community shapes everything we do. From collaborative projects and peer mentoring to school-wide celebrations, we encourage students to support one another and take responsibility for the wellbeing of the group. Parents are partners in this journey, actively involved in school life and decision-making. Together, we create a sense of belonging that helps children feel secure, connected, and ready to learn.

Excellence at My People Schools is not about perfection; it is about growth, effort, and pride in doing one’s best. We set high, achievable expectations and provide the guidance, feedback, and encouragement students need to meet them. Whether in academics, the arts, sports, or service, learners are challenged to stretch beyond their comfort zones and celebrate each step forward.

Inclusion is woven into the fabric of school life. We welcome students from all walks of life and design learning experiences that reflect diverse cultures, perspectives, and strengths. Classrooms are flexible and responsive, ensuring that every child can participate fully and feel seen for who they are. This inclusive spirit teaches empathy, fairness, and global awareness.

Personal growth is a daily journey here. Students set goals, reflect on their progress, and learn skills like resilience, self-discipline, and emotional awareness. Through leadership opportunities, service projects, and meaningful feedback, they discover their own voice and purpose. At My People Schools, we are not only preparing students for the next grade—we are preparing them for life, helping them become thoughtful, confident people who make a positive difference wherever they go.
